Jimmy passed peacefully away at the Kemptville District Hospital on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 in his 75th year. Beloved husband for over 20 years of Kathryn Ann Dowdall-Durant. Loving father of Kean (Kim) and the late Kevin. Dear grandfather of Braydon and Brandon. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Mae Durant. Jimmy was the last surviving member of his family. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

As per Jimmy's wishes cremation has taken place and a graveside service will take place at Merrickville Union Cemetery on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 11:00am followed by a celebration of life at the Merrickville Royal Canadian Legion at 12:00pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Diabetes Association, the Kemptville & District Home Support Inc., or the Kemptville District Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the family.
