On behalf of the Rideau Roundtable, and the Rideau Environmental Action League, REAL, I like to offer our deepest condolence to Marg and family.
Don has been helping both of our not-for-profit organization in the required annual fiscal filings since the beginning. We are very grateful for his work and generosity. His friendliness and gentle mannerism were appreciated by all our directors of both organizations serving as treasurers. As the primary contact for the Rideau Roundtable, I further get to know him as a friend, a person with a kind heart and great care for his community.
We shall miss him.
Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
With deep sympathy,
Peter Au,
President, Rideau Roundtable.

Dear Marg and Shelly,
Please accept our family's condolences on Don's passing. Don was always very special to our Dad. He always spoke about how Don was such a shy young man when he graduated from school and began to work in the firm. When I worked at the office as a teenager, I remember Don and Dad meeting at the end of every day to talk about business. Dad was always impressed how Don worked with all of the firm's clients and took care of the staff in the office. The other thing that I remember is how Don always took his summer vacations to mind the farm. I got to know Don when I was young, working in the office; he was a very good man. Although I have lived away from Smiths Falls for many years, I have thought of Don many times. We are very sad to hear of his passing. Again, the Hopkins family send our condolences on your loss.

What a wonderful man Don was! He looked after the Wilson family’s business for around 50 years. He knew so much and could retrieve anything you asked about. He was always learning, always willing to figure out the best options for a person. Don will be so missed. Condolences to his wife and family from Elva and our family.

Shelley & Ralf,
We were both very sad to hear of Uncle Don’s passing. He was such a quiet, gentle man and will be missed. If there is anything we can do, let me know. Thinking of Aunt Margaret and both of you.

Please accept my and my Family's heartfelt condolences on the passing of Don. We've known and enjoyed our relationship with Don for many many years. (we used to own the Feed Store - Lanark Leeds)
I still continued to do some accounting business with Don, and when I spoke to him in early September. He told me he had cancer and was going through the treatments, but at that point he was still feeling pretty good.
Don was one of the finest fellows I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. He loved his work, and we enjoyed discussing the issues of the day whenever we got together.
For our part, we'll certainly miss him.
