Please accept our sincerest condolences. My wife and I met Wilf in the hospital and he greatly influenced my views on getting old. I said it was a pain and he said it was a privilege. That’s something I will always remember. Even with all his personal health problems, Wilf had such a positive outlook on life and I wish I could have gotten to know him better. We talked a lot about food and he taught me how to make porridge and I have made ever since I got out of the hospital. His family always took time to say hello when they visited Wilf. There was a lot of love in the room when they visited. I am glad I got to meet such a caring, giving man.

Judy & family I am so sorry to here of the passing of Wilf. My thoughts are with you & the family at this difficult time. It was a pleasure to have known him he was such a kind hearted and caring man. Always there to help wherever he could. On behalf of the Salvation Army and myself in particular, our sincerest sympathy on the passing of this wonderful man, Wilf Toop. Wilf was a dedicated volunteer for the Salvation Army and represented us and the Lions with grace, good humour and kindness. On a personal note, he was a lovely man to talk to, his caring for others projected in all he did and he is a huge loss to the community he loved.

To the Toop family,, So very sorry to hear of Wilf's passing. The good Lord needed another angle and called upon Wilf to fill that spot. We knew Wilf from the Wednesday lions club luncheons, he will be deeply missed. I am going to miss all the chats that we had and all the jokes as well, he always had a smile on. One day when Wilf needed a ride home he took us into his backyard to show us his gardens, they were beautiful.
