Obituary of Richard James Gemmell

GEMMELL, Richard James "Jim"

Of Jasper, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 23, 2019 with his family by his side, at a young 64 years of age. Jim, cherished husband and best friend to Maria who he loved so much. Loving father of Scott (Melissa) Gemmell, Katy (Jake) Drummond, and Lindsay (Mark) Roney. Son of Robert "Bob" and the late Dorothy. Devoted grandfather of Emily, Connor, Blakely, Reese, Palmer, Leo, Lincoln, and Nylah. Brother of Blair (Kim) and the late Kirk Gemmell. Jim will also be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Friends and family may gather for visitation at Lannin Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 from 2-4 PM, and 6-8 PM.  A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 28 at 11:00 AM. A reception will follow the service at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 95 in Smiths Falls.
