AUNGER, Joan Marlene (née Giff)

 

Of Smiths Falls, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, September 6, 2019 at the Smiths Falls Hospital. She was 73 years of age. Joan, devoted mother to daughters Anna Christie (Bud Brennan), and Michelle Christensen. Cherished Grandmother to Kelly, Valerie (Eric) Lepointe, and April Christensen. Great grandmother to Dalton, Dawson, MacKenzie, and Sarah. Loving sister to Gail (Jack) Souliere, and her brothers Jimmy and Danny Giff. Lifetime best friend of Roger McIlmoyle. Joan will also be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Harold Giff and Nellie Wynn, and her sister Gwen Smith.

 

Cremation has been entrusted to Lannin Funeral Home. A Celebration of Joan's Life will be held at a later date.

 

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Hendry, and the nurses at the Smiths Falls Hospital North Unit.
