Durant, Peter "Pete" Graham

 

Unexpectedly passed away at the Ottawa General Hospital on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at the age of 71 after a tough and courageous battle with illness. 

  

Born in Perth Ontario, growing up in Smiths Falls & Kingston, a kind, gentle & loving man who greatly touched the lives of family and friends. Pete spent most of his years in car sales and is well loved and respected by many in the community. His sense of humour, generous spirit, and love of people and animals is unequalled. 

 

Beloved loving husband of Kathleen "Kat" Durant. Loving father of Jennifer (Simon) Truman and Kirra Treen. Cherished grandfather of Olivia, Benjamin, Kelsey and Kurtis.  Lovingly remembered by his nieces and Nephew; Sheryl (Dave) Eberhardt,(Jennifer, Michael (Kayla);  Robin (James) Fitzgerald;(Andrew and Jane). Matthew (Joslyn) Durant; (Mason,Noel,Cole & Lyla).  Sadly missed  by his siblings Susan Durant-Smith and Chris (Wendy) Durant.  Lovingly missed & remembered by Carol (Rick) Piper and cousin Judy Umphrey.  Predeceased by his parents Donald and Cleo Durant.  Cherished and loved by many extended family and friends.  Forever missed by his two best fur friends Mitchell and Sydney. Forever in the heart of his best friend Pauline (Brent) Hughes.

 

A Celebration of Life will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 95, Smiths Falls, on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 12:00pm till 3:00pm, with words of remembrance at 1:00 pm. As expressions of sympathy donations to Sweatergang Companions or Mel's Farm would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lannin Funeral Home. Online condolences available at www.lannin.ca
