Dear Hyland Family: My sincere condolences
In the sudden passing of a great man. I had the honour of chatting with Mr. Hyland everyday at Walmart for years, Everyday he would tell me a different story when he was in the war, or when he was a young lad, and I would always say to him that he should put it on paper . I will miss his daily visits, but I know he is in heaven with Jeffery.

Berwick was everybody's favourite! His smile and huge presence always lit up the room ... growing up as a young person in Smiths Falls, , he always had time for a hello - how are you doing. What a loss to the community and to his family .. but home to glory, for sure! Always always remembered!

Aunt Helena and Cousins! Our hearts go out to you and Ruth and I send our love and sympathy. While we have the comfort that he is "with Christ; which is far better" (Phil 1:23), yet the vacancy is ever present for you!

My dearest uncle, and my friend. I will miss him. I will miss his cheerfulness, his laughter, and most of all, his love for our Lord. Going to the store with Berwick on a tight schedule was always problematic, because he'd stop to talk about the Lord to a half dozen people before you got into the store! It was a joy to just stand back and watch a true evangelist use well the gift our Lord had given him.
