Obituary of Edward John Chuckmala

CHUCKMALA, Edward John

 

Passed away peacefully with family by his side at Rosebridge Manor In Jasper, Ontario. He was in his 90th year. Ed, devoted husband to Patricia for over 59 years. Cherished father to Ted (late Julie) Chuckmala, Michael (Marlene) Chuckmala, Lisa (Marty) Rogers, and Crystal (Lloyd) Balser. Loving grampa Ed to Cora (Ben) Barak, Dalton Rogers, Anya Rogers, and Brendan, Cassandra, Ariana, Dean, and Ava Chuckmala. Great grampa Ed to Ira Barak. Devoted brother of Wanda (Ron) Isherwood. Ed will also be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

 

Ed spent most of his working years with the City of Winnipeg. Retiring as the Chief of the City of Winnipeg License Department. Ed enjoyed spending his weekends and vacations at Albert Beach with his family and doing endless improvements to the family cottage.

 

As per Ed's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at St Bede's Anglican Church, 1641 Rosedale Road North, Nolan's Corners on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery with a reception immediately afterwards in the church hall.
