JOHNSTON, Leonard (“Len”) Merrill
August 20, 1930 to January 16, 2020
Peacefully at home at the age of 89 with his two sons by his side. Predeceased by his loving wife Juanita Majeau, his parents Leonard (Sr.) and Violet, and his only brother David. Loving father to Mitchell and Derek (Debbie); adored Grandfather to Shaun, Stuart (Candice), and Jaime (Mike). Great-grandfather to Aubrey, Weston and Avalene. Len was an air traffic controller for over 35 years before retirement after which he became an active member as well as President of the Smith Falls Legion.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Sean Pierre, Dr. Priscilla Bright and nurse Catherine Brown for their superior care and dedication.
There will be no visitation, instead a private family gathering in Len’s honor will be held. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion - Branch 95 would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lannin Funeral Home.
