Sherryn Virginia (Ginnii) Johnston of Merrickville, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Kingston General Hospital (ICU), at the age of 66. Loving wife of Bob Johnston. Loving daughter of the late Charles (Chuck) and Noreen Empey (née Barrett). Cherished mother to Shaun (Heidi) Johnston, Emily (Arjan) Mooij and Ashley (Paul) McGregor. Cherished grandmother of Ella, Ava, Reid, Lindsay, Thijs, Brandon, Tinsley, Evan, Nathan, Taelah and Aubrey. Devoted sister of Lynette Scobie, Greg (Debbie) Empey, Kim (Ryan) Furuness and Lisa (Michel) Gagne. Sadly missed by her sister-in-law Sandy Johnston Dixon and her brother-in-law Jack Johnston. Predeceased by her father-in-law and mother-in-law Lloyd and Theresa Johnston, brother-in-laws Jeff (Mary) Johnston, Bill (Judy) Johnston, Harold Scobie and Brian Hutchinson. Ginnii enjoyed her years working at the Rideau Regional Centre as a RC11 and Accounts Payable Clerk. Special thanks to the Smiths Falls Hospital (ICU), Kingston General Hospital (ICU), the doctor and nurses at the Merrickville Health Centre, her loving friends Francine Weagle, Lance Fox & family.
As per Ginnii's wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place in the summer. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Humane Society or Volunteer Services at the Smiths Falls Hospital and the Kingston General Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
