Mrs. Pearl Kathleen Gill (née McGee), of Smiths Falls passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Perth Hospital with her family at her side in her 93rd year.
Born in Darling Township in 1928, this “Darling Girl” later moved to Toronto. Pearl married Jack Gill in 1955 and they had two children. She spent many years working for Canada Post in Toronto and retired with Jack to the house they built outside Smiths Falls. Pearl loved spending time with friends and family and enjoyed a good party. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh, sense of humour and sayings like “You’re not wrong”.
Pearl was married for 61 years to the late Samuel John (Jack) Gill. She was the cherished mother of Debra (Rob) Barrett and Fred (Barb) Gill and devoted Nan to her grandchildren Brad (Renee) Gill and Beth (Alex) Gill. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many good friends.
Pearl is predeceased by her siblings Leonard “Fibber” (Mary) McGee, Harry (Frances) McGee, Clarence McGee, Kenny McGee, Isobell (Leonard) Curran, and Shirley (Jack) MacFarlane.
