Caldwell, Lorne Alvery
Peacefully at the Queensway Carleton Hospital on Monday, August 03, 2020 at the age of 75. Predeceased by his parents Aubrey and Marjorie Caldwell and his brother Larry. Dear father of Valerie and Jennifer (husband Jim). Lovingly remembered by his grandson Blair. Missed by his former wife Aline Caldwell.
Lorne served multiple terms on the Merrickville-Wolford town council, and was an active member of the Merrickville United Church. He enjoyed boating the canal, golfing, curling and in his younger years completed many 10K runs and a marathon.
A private graveside service will be held at Merrickville Union Cemetery, with a Celebration of Life to be organized in the future. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Lannin Funeral Home. Online condolences available at
