I am so saddened to hear of Janet’s death. We were nursing school classmates so our friendship goes back many years. We met again in 2011 at our reunion and Janet had not changed, thankfully. Funny, irreverent, so intelligent and dear to me. I will always be aware of her absence in my life. My condolences to the entire family.

My deepest sympathy to Janet’s family. I am so sorry I was not able to attend the Celebration of Life at the Legion today. I would have wanted to pay my respects in person to a woman that was always a joy to meet at the bridge table.

My sincere condolences to Janet's family and friends. Being in Janet's company was like sitting in a ray of sunshine and being at a comedy show, broadcast live! We will miss her at the bridge club. Elaine McGuire.

Sending condolences to all of Janet's family from Jean and Peter Stacey. For those who don't know, Peter is Janet's brother, the 10th of 12 Stacey children, Janet was the baby. Janet loved bridge and so does Pete. Janet sent Pete a card at Christmas congratulating him on being a Ruby Life Master in bridge, He would have loved to have her as a partner in bridge but unfortunately that never happened. He was in St. John's and she was in Smith Falls. Once again, condolences from us and our family.

To John, Stephen, Jim, Ian & families:
My sincere sympathy to you all on the passing of your dear Mom and Grandmother. May all your happy memories help you through this sad time. I was talking to Janet on September 13 last and she didn't sound too well, but she put up a good fight as your Uncle Bob did. Love & hugs from Aunt Rose.

We met Janet at the Bridge Table. She loved a game of Bridge and kept playing in our Virtual Club until just recently. We always loved to chat with Janet before the game started. She had an unbridled sense of humour, We will miss her and her beautiful smile.

So very sorry to learn of Janet’s passing. We became friends when she lived at Aberdeen Apts. She was never one to feel sorry for herself, a realist, and a woman with a very caring nature, whose smile lit up the room.
