Tom, Sarah, Andrew,
There will never be enough words to express my sorrow at the loss of such a wonderful giving Lady! I have so many fond memories of Karen and our times together, mostly through our Guiding years. So many great adventures. Karen always handled any mishap with laughter and practicality, always moving forward, to a better outcome. She was such a giving person. Thoughts of her family always came first as she squeezed another activity into her very busy schedule.. She will be sorely missed by so many lives she touched.
My Sympathies to you all
Heather and Jim Murphy

Karen was my best friend from when we were 3 years old. Our families lived beside each other so we played together every day until the Hallidays moved to Stonewall. Fortunately over the more than 50 years since then we managed to keep in contact from time to time. Karen was such a loving and gentle person, she possessed a wonderful sense of humour and laughed easily. I looked forward to her home made cards that she sent on every occasion and will miss receiving them with her updates of life. You all will miss Karen so very much but have so many beautiful memories to remember and share. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time.
