Peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Friday, January 15, 2021 at the age of 90.
Predeceased by her husband Orval Hewitt. Cherished mother of Brenda (Glen) Johnston, Brian (Cyndi) Hewitt, Freda (Cecil) Pepper, Wayne Hewitt, Jean (Rick) McGrath, George (Susan) Hewitt, David Hewitt, Ronnie (Jackie) Hewitt, and Susan (Kevin) Cordick. Predeceased by her parents Wilbert and Muriel Lewis, her daughter Joan Kingston, her sister Freda (late Bob) Livingston, and her brother Eric (late Ila) Lewis. Survived by her sister Audrey (late Alan) Coutts, and her sister-in-law Marie (late Elton) Hewitt. Dearly missed by her 22 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Due to current Covid restrictions a private family service will be held with interment following at Maple Vale Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy donations to Alzheimer Society of Lanark Leeds Grenville or the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital would be greatly appreciated. Covid restrictions require that donations may be made online, or by mailing a cheque (made payable to the charity) to the funeral home.
