Dearly missed by many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Wayne was an avid angler and hunter. He and his wife Linda opened the family business in 1984 to share his love of fishing and hunting with the community. Many problems were solved and stories told at the bait shop. Tourists and cottagers were always directed there to seek out advice and tips for the local area. Wayne enjoyed 50 years of hunting with the Edwards gang. He always showed his true dedication to the sport. He spent many years watching the fishing and hunting industry change and grow. His greatest joy was to see young children find joy in the sports he loved. Wayne was also past member of the Otter Lodge Lombardy and spent many years volunteering for Smiths Falls Minor Hockey and Ottawa District Minor Hockey Association. The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff at Hilltop Manor Merrickville for their exceptional care and support of Dad over the years. As per Wayne's wishes cremation has taken place. Due to Covid-19 restrictions interment will take place in spring along with a celebration of life. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Big Brother Big Sisters of Lanark County would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lannin Funeral Home.
