CAMERON, Marguerite Anne (née Blanchard) Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, at home in Ottawa, on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at the age of 95. Predeceased by her husband Richard. Cherished mother of Carla, Earl (Sherisse), Hazel (Mark), Camilla (Mike), France (Stuart) Beare, Gisèle (Dave) Forsyth, Jacqueline (Dan) Bonenfant, Fred (June), and Denise (Antonio) Oliveira. Forever loved and missed by her eighteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Survived by her siblings Gerald (Yvonne), Ernest (Rose), Lionel (the late Julienne), Lorraine (Albert), Priscilla (the late Lionel), Stan Junior and Claudette (Wayne), and sister-in-law Claudette. Predeceased by her siblings Wilfred (Lucienne), Kenneth (Macrina), Arnold, Mary Priscilla (infant), Johnny (Emelienne) and Harvey. Marguerite was devoted to her family and her Catholic faith. She raised nine children with her husband Richard and ensured they were always well provided for. She always made sure there was plenty of love for each and every one of them with God as a part of their everyday lives. She put others' needs before her own. She loved being a Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma! For many years she volunteered her services: visiting with the sick and dying, preparing food for funeral luncheons and volunteering with the mentally and physically challenged at the Rideau Regional. She was a member of the Legion of Mary, attended the Saint Francis prayer group and was a dedicated weekly Adorer in the Adoration Chapel. Many thanks for the excellent support provided by the caregivers and palliative care team. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, private service and burial arrangements have been entrusted to Lannin Funeral Home. Donations in memory of Marguerite to the Food Bank of your choice or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Messages of condolence may be left for the family at www.lannin.ca.
