LEACH, Delrene "Irene"
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Delrene Irene Leach, who passed away peacefully on April 3, 2021 at the Broadview Nursing Centre.
Born on September 12, 1924 to Herbert Jason Burchill and Ethel Irene Porter Burchill at home in Montague Township on Burchill Road.
Mom was predeceased by her beloved husband Edward Merrill Leach on April 23, 2009. Irene was the devoted and loving mother of Gloria (Ron) Bothwell, Joan (Doug) Hart, the late Dale (1954-1977), and Bonnie Leach, and mother-in-law to Paul Burson. Special grandmother of Dustin and Ashley Hart (Grace and Delwyn), Brandon and Chelsea Hart (Ray and Henry), Whitney and Devon Conboy (Emma), Sinéid and Mark McDonald (Tucker and Charlie), and Ciarán Burson (Susie). Also predeceased by her siblings Marjorie Gordon, Hilda Dillabough, Garnetia Lackey and Russell Burchill.
Our beloved mother passed away as she lived, surrounded by her girls. Our family would like to thank the wonderful caring and attentive staff at Broadview who attended to mom's care with so much compassion and understanding.
Those who wish to honour mom's memory may wish to make a donation to St. Bede's Cemetery Fund, or the Broadview Nursing Centre Activity Fund.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Lannin Funeral Home. A celebration of Irene's life will take place at a later date.
