It is with profound sadness that the family shares the passing of a much loved mother, mother-in-law and grandmother, on May 5, 2021, at the age of 89, just two days shy of the 26th anniversary of the passing of the love of her life, the late Duane Dixon. Loving mother of Dawn (Brian Roach) and Dale (Sue Neilson). Devoted and proud grandmother of Michaela Roach and Helena Dixon. Fondly remembered by special friend, Robert Allan and sisters-in-law, Mary Dixon and Marion Pollard. Also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Special thanks to her wonderful neighbours, Brent and Sherallyn Poll and Don and Pauline Crowder, who were always there for her, to her caregivers at home, Crystal, Haley, Cheryl and Kerri who were like family to her, and to Dr. Chadha and the team at Lanark Lifestyles in Perth who made her brief stay happy and comfortable.
Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joan may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Duane Dixon Family Trust (The trust fund is for students graduating from high school and pursuing post-secondary education).
