WALTER WILLIAM BROWN August 1, 1934 - June 25, 2021 Walter Brown, at age 86 years, passed away peacefully in the Smiths Falls Hospital on Friday, June 25, 2021. Walter was a very generous, caring man to all who knew him. His passing will leave a huge void. He was the family glue, and he gave so much to others, especially his big genuine smile and quick sense of humour. He enjoyed a lifetime of teaching school and when he retired he moved to the family farm to be a support to his family. Walter worked tirelessly on genealogy for his family and friends. The legacy he’s given us is a foundation of a tree with very deep strong roots which he lovingly planted and cared for years and years. He loved the farm where he was happiest creating and building the many nature trails that surrounded the homestead, not only for his enjoyment, but so he could share it with family and friends. Walter is predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Susan Brown, and ten siblings, Florence Brown, Orville Brown, John Brown, Leonard Brown (Linda), Alvin Brown (Marjorie), Iona Budd (Elmer), Jessie Johnston (Neill), Joan Sheil (Keith), Reta Wittstock, and Wilbert Brown (Margaret). The three surviving siblings are Leslie Brown (Rita), Gladys Wright (Eddie), and Dorothy Finnerty (Cy). A funeral service will be held at Lannin Funeral Home beginning at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, followed by a brief service at Hillcrest Cemetery.
