Obituary of Isabelle Marguerite Carey

Carey, Isabelle September 13, 1940 ~ July 18, 2021 It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Isabelle (nee South) at the Smiths Falls Community Hospital on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 80 years of age. Loving mother of Stephen (Barb) DeLisle; stepmom to John (Heather) Vandusen and Ann (Ralf) Siebel. She will be missed by her grandchildren Jessica (Justin) Fentiman and Adam (Melanie) DeLisle. She was the much loved GG of Sativah, Silas, Sophie and Colt. Survived by her sister Mary (Dave) Splane, sister-in-law Eva (Bob) Dryden and brother-in-law Bill White. Predeceased by her husband Earl Carey, parents Bill and Gertrude South, brother Frank South, sisters Jean (late Gerry) Vandusen, Muriel (late Bill) Barill and Anna White. Isabelle will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Isabelle retired at the age of 55 from a career in nursing. She was an RNA at the South Unit hospital in Smiths Falls at the end of her career. Isabelle had a full and happy life, enriched with her strong faith in God, time spent with her family as well as her lifelong nursing friends. A graveside service will be held at Maple Vale cemetery on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 11:00 am. Donations in memory of Isabelle can be made to St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, Smiths Falls or a charity of your choice.
