June Forsyth
June 19, 1934 - Sunday, July 25, 2021
Surrounded by her loving family, June passed away peacefully at the Smiths Falls District Hospital on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Delbert Forsyth, dear friend and partner of the late George Kerr. Loving mother of Jamie Forsyth (Marie), Christine Davis (Ron), Bonnie Banville (Bob), Delbert Forsyth (Vicie), David Forsyth (Gisele), Danny Forsyth (Jackie). Sister in law of Duane Forsyth (Sylvia). Predeceased by her infant daughter Barbara Pearl, her parents Roy Typhair and Pearl Mussel, her stepfather Fred Streight and all of her brothers and sisters. Fondly remembered by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and her numerous friends.
Not one to sit idle for long, June enjoyed numerous hobbies and activities, and was always looking for ways to help others, from knitting sweater sets for preemies to creating mats from milk bags and organizing Friday evening meals at the Merrickville Legion. She loved camping and fishing and was considered an expert spider weiner maker at many campfire gatherings. In her spare time, June would knit sweaters, hats, scarves and mittens for her family. June was a strong and caring woman who will be missed. Her legacy lives on in her family and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Lannin Funeral Home in Smiths Falls, Ontario. Friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel at the funeral home on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at a later date at Garretton Anglican Church in Garretton, Ontario.
