Obituary of Lois Kathleen DeLisle

DeLisle, Lois Kathleen It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Lois Kathleen DeLisle (nee Flinn). Lois lived her life surrounded by love, having herself loved so freely and completely, cherishing every moment spent in the presence of those that meant so much to her. She left this earth peacefully at the Perth Great War Memorial Hospital, August 29, 2021 at the age of 94 to be reunited with the many who went on before her, including her husband, Paul DeLisle. Lois is survived by her daughter Connie Forsythe (Glenn) Embleton sons David Forsythe and Stephen (Barb) DeLisle. She treasured family above all else, which included her many grandchildren Jeremy Embleton (Wendy Nolan), Stephanie (Jason) Cragg, Katie (Colin) Austin, Joel (Caitlin) Embleton, Rebekah Embleton, Ben Embleton (Taylor Peters), Caleb Embleton, Hannah Embleton, Josiah Embleton, Amy Forsythe, Jessica (Justin) Fentiman, Adam (Melanie) DeLisle, and his great-grandchildren Damian Embleton, Damon Osborne, Emerson Cragg, Mallory Nicholson, Maia and Macy Embleton, Sativah Zahab, Silas and Colt Fentiman, Sophie DeLisle. Sister to John (Pat) Flinn and Dianne (Ted) Gillissie. Predeceased by her parents, John and Erma (Leach) Flinn, her first husband Alex Forsythe, and her second gift of love, Paul DeLisle, brothers Trevor and Garnet Flinn, sister Sheila Gayda, brother-in-law Henry Gayda and sister-in-law Jean (Gillissie) Flinn. Lois will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, as well as her remaining friends and former co-workers at the Rideau Regional Centre, Smiths Falls. The family extends their sincere appreciation to the caring staff at both the Perth and Smiths Falls hospital sites during her remarkably few hospitalizations recently. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. For those who wish, donations in memory of Lois to a charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lannin Funeral Home, Smiths Falls.
