Joan, Tim, Terry, Jeff, and Kevin - I was shocked to hear the news about Mark. We'd finally tracked each other down on Facebook and had exchanged messages. We'd planned to meet soon. There's something about being in your 50s that makes you reflect on the good friends you've had over the years. For me, Mark was one of those. Quiet, creative, and a man of few words, I remember him being such a loyal and supportive friend. He picked me up after many teenage meltdowns and even after I'd moved away and ended up in Toronto, he'd somehow manage to send me a birthday card. A wonderful person gone way too soon.
