Campbell, Dorothy Mae It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Dorothy Campbell (nee Whidden) of Smiths Falls, Ontario on October 3, 2021 at the age of 89. Dorothy is survived by her sister Ruth Todd of Nova Scotia, children Laurie (Francis) of Nova Scotia, Judy (Dave) of Alberta and grandchildren Amanda and Shaun of Alberta. Also mourning her loss are extended family members and numerous dear friends. She is predeceased by her loving husband Gordon, parents Myra and Roy Whidden, sisters Norma and Jean, brothers Gordon and Ross, son Roy and granddaughter Serena. Dorothy was born in Oldham, Nova Scotia on May 3, 1932. She was a wonderful, loving daughter, wife, sister, mother and grandmother and always had a smile and kind, caring words for everyone. She enjoyed golf, sewing, reading, crafts, cards, berry picking, baking and was well renowned for her famous homemade bread and buns. She retired after 10 years with the Davis Agency and enjoyed being a snowbird with her husband for 34 years. A life well lived, good times shared and laughter throughout the years. Thank you to Broadview Retirement Lodge for all their care. A big heartfelt thank you to Joan Smith for all her warm, loving care over the years. The family appreciates all you have done for her and for us. A big thank you to Kim Bradbury for her care also. A memorial service will be held in the spring of 2022. Donations may be made to the Parkinson's or Alzheimer's Society or the charity of one's choice. Arrangements entrusted to Lannin Funeral Home.
