Billy was one of the first people that I met when we moved here from Montreal. I remember when he would come over for a visit and Jake, Jacy & I would sit and listen to his stories (some of them true, some a little exaggerated but very, very funny). He had a special sense of humour, a smile on his face and always made the time to stop and chat when he bumped into a friend. He will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you Judy, and your family, at this most difficult time.

To the entire Johnston people and family, I just learned about William's (Billy's) death today. He wast a great and true friend to my older brother (Chris Mckenna) and myself and the entire Mckenna Family on the Rideau River Road outside of Merrickville. Billy (and Bobby), we sure had some great chats on the river road at my Brothers house on the water....after your run from the railroad...or after a ball game. I hope all you people are doing well....but I just wanted to touch base.....and very, very sorry...for sure a HUGE loss...and a great guy. He will be missed....but The McKenna's have not forgotten...time heals all wounds. All the best to you all Gerald McKenna ( Jake) take it easy everyone...and better days ahead... Love you all. Dear Judy and family. I'm in shock over this. I was just talking to Bill about 11/2 ago at a store . I commented on how good he looked. He was the old Billy. Our parents were so close. My thoughts and prayers go out to u and you'r family. He was like a brother to me.He is my childhood friend and always will be in my heart.R.I.P. So sorry for your loss.. Its been many, many years since I came to Canada to meet such wonderful people that I have cherished and remembered since then and Bill, Judy, and Tasha you have always been on my mind... Bill with his humor was the best you all made me feel at home... I came with Arnie, Maryanne, Jenna, and Josh they have ALWAYS been like a second family to me and I will never forget the memories they have given me.. Absolutely beautiful...
