Firstly, our sincere condolences to Sue and the entire Graff family. Norm was without a doubt a good husband, a good father and a proud grandfather. He was a jovial person and an all around great guy. He was truly a good friend and we will miss him dearly. Norm had a wonderful sense of humour and there wasn't a day went by that he wouldn't have a new joke or story to recount. We first met Norm and Sue in Bagotville where we were part of the military family stationed there. We became close knit friends and spent many an evening playing cards in their "hot" little basement rumpus room which was heated with a wood burning stove. A little thing that irk Sue was Norm's habit of wiping his fingers on his tee shirt as he ate his munchies and played cards. By the end of the evening Norm's tee shirts were a mess particularly if we had eaten "cheezies"! Another thing which brought us together was Norm's love of sports. Darren and David were of similar ages as our boys and all were involved in sports. Naturally, Norm was just the perfect coach He taught the kids "little tricks of the trade" and above all he taught them good sportsmanship. He had all kinds of time for doing that and he loved it, Our boys will never forget the many outdoor skating rinks he had made for them to practice on and have fun. Our friendship continued from Bagotville to Ottawa and finally into retirement. As all true friendships go -- no matter where we are or how far apart, we will always be close. So, remember that Sue! Norm, we salute you and honour you for a life well lived. Farewell, dear friend "until we meet again". All our love, Carol and John
