My Sister, Audrey and I had many wonderful times together as we grew up in Toronto, spent entire Summers at Woodland Beach, were married, enjoyed our families and then fortunate enough to have new adventures together during our retirement years in Niagara.
Audrey was a loving Mother to Shaun, Rob and Kelly. She was a loving wife to Fred and they had so many happy years together at their home in Thorold.
Audrey was also a talented artist and very passionate about our Family History which lead us to meeting new relatives and friends from the U.K.
I will always have fond memories of my life's journey with my big Sister, Audrey. Love to you always.

What a privilege it was to meet and care for Audrey these last few months. We enjoyed many lively discussions around growing up in Toronto, cottage country and our mutual interest in genealogy, She occupies a special place in my heart. Condolences to her family. Ann RN

I am Dorothy, Audrey's English cousin Audrey's grandfather Joseph Fawn had a brother Herbert Fawn, they were both Stonemasons living in London , Joseph decided to emmigrate to Canada but Hebert stayed put.
So both brothers started families on different sides of the world. Years later Audrey through her exhaustive family history research became aware that she had an English cousin and was determined to find her, Audey mad a number of visits to England to find her cousin without success , but eventually her persistence was rewarded and I was able to make contact. A family reunion was arranged and about 25 family members got together in 2007 at Vineland
My husband John and I were made very welcome when we stayed at Niagara we saw many things and met the family. It turned out the Audrey and myself were very similar in so many ways,, we had a wonderful time together.. We have kept in touch ever since and were very saddened to learn of Audrey's illness. However, we have some very fond memories and so grateful to her for finding me after all those years

Audrey was a constant companion to me as a youngster. She was my cousin and best friend from birth. We would always be together, usually getting into trouble, at our grandparents home, at our side by side cottages, at our Toronto homes, and at C.E. Webster elementary School in the Keele/Eglinton area of Toronto that we both attended from ages 5 to 12. We loved horseback riding, and would love riding horses on the back trails of Woodland Beach and hanging out in the stables whenever we could. We would spend all of our summers at the cottages and hours getting the perfect tan on the hot sandy beach at Georgian Bay.
In later years Audrey instilled an interest in me for Genealogy, and I followed her passion for family history and completed my husband's own Scottish/English history back for over two hundred years. I learned so much from Audrey and still am amazed at her genealogy skills. She took our Fawn history and stories back for hundreds of years thanks to her many trips to England to search cemeteries and church records. Thank you Audrey for your diligence.
Sincere condolences to her children and to her loving husband Fred.
Rest in peace Audrey. You will always be in my heart.
Marilyn King.... and my husband John.
