Bannon (nee Birkett), Madeline Grace Jean Mickey, born in Toronto, passed away peacefully at the age of 103. Predeceased by siblings Jack Birkett (Kaye), and Elanor Stockhill (Bob). Mickey and her late husband Russell, moved to Peterborough where they raised their now deceased children Lynda and Keith. Lovingly remembered by her daughter-in-law Julie Bannon. Known as Nan to her grandchildren Nicole Todd, Jammie (HongSik) Bannon, Kacey (Chris) Bannon and Jackson (Heather) Bannon. Great Nan to Jack and Cole lindop; Brennen, Tayler and Brysen Jaegal; Cooper and Oliver Kelly, and Hudson, Sawyer, Berkeley and Easton Bannon. Fondly missed by several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to long time neighbours and friends Helen and Lawrence Manley for their continuous kind support. The excellent care by Peterborough VON who enabled Mickey to remain in her home until recently. Mickey passed away in the compassionate care of Hilltop Nursing Home, Merrickville. Mickey was a long time member of Peterborough Army-Navy Club. She enjoyed making crafts for St. Luke Church Bazaars. Mickey was a loyal fan of the Peterborough Petes Hockey Team. As per Mickey's wishes cremation has taken place. Interment will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lannin Funeral Home. Online condolences available at www.lannin.ca
