Hanna, Emma "Jean" - Of Smiths Falls, passed peacefully with her family by her side at Hilltop Manor in Merrickville on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at the age of 92. She was the dear wife and friend of the late Merrill Hanna. Loving mother to Bonnie (late Terry) Leach, Dale (Ronda Alguire) Hanna, Connie (Brian) Harvey, Cory (Greg Bedford) Hanna, and mother-in-law of Donna Vanderkloet. Cherished Nan of Haydn (Adele) Hanna, Reis (Samantha) Hanna, Hillary (Connor) Hanna, Fletcher (Jaelyn) Hanna, Zachary (Meghan) Harvey, Tristan (Allie) Hanna, and Sam Hutt. Forever missed by her great grandchild Malcolm Hanna. Survived by her sister Joyce (late Ozzie) Valliquette, and her sister-in-law Bev (late Archie) Rice. Predeceased by her parents Merton and Mary Buchanan, her siblings; Glenn (Mary) Buchanan, Vina (Dave) Kirkham, Ethel (Bernard) (Tony) Valliquette-Larmour, Donald Buchanan, Cecil (Barbara) Buchanan. Also predeceased by Merrill's family; Douglas and Frances Hanna, Kenny (Audrey) Hanna, Donald (Bessie) Hanna, Stanley (Bertha) Hanna, and Shirley (Charlie) Rice. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A special "Thank You" to the caregivers at Hilltop Manor for their care, compassion, and understanding. Friends may call at the Lannin Funeral Home, Smiths Falls, on Monday, February 05, 2024 from 10:00am until the time of the funeral service in the Chapel at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. A Celebration Of Life will take place immediately following the interment at the Royal Canadian Legion - Branch 95, Smiths Falls. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Lanark, Leeds & Grenville, L.A.W.S, or charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
