Stanzel, Donald Irwin Peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family on Monday, February 26, 2024, at the age of 80. Beloved partner of Sharon Watson for over 24 years. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Mary Stanzel, and his siblings Ronald Stanzel, Joan Stanzel, and Judy Rogers, and his great granddaughter Willow. He is survived by his sister Dorothy Broadbent, and his brother Raymond Stanzel. Also survived by Gladys Cardiff, mother of Douglas Stanzel, Christina Stanzel, Anthony Stanzel, Richard Stanzel, and Dawn Stanzel. Forever missed by his grandchildren Tia, Melinda, Dustin, Hope, Christopher, Douglas, Brooklyn, Jacob, Joseph, Zoey, Ava, Joshua, Michael, and Casey. Lovingly remembered by his great grandchildren Kane, Sylis, Tucker, Charlotte, Remington, Autumn, Jackson, and Nicholas. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Donald worked for Tyes Dairy for 12 years and the Rideau Regional Centre for 25 years. He ran his own cleaning and repairing business for numerous years. Donald was an avid bowler at the Gratton Lanes for 30+ years. A special "Thank You" to Dr. Moulton and the Nurses and PSW's who helped him to be happy in his home until the end. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Lannin Funeral Home on Monday, March 04, 2024, from 2:00pm - 4:00pm & 6:00pm - 8:00pm. A funeral service will take place in the Chapel on Tuesday, March 05, 2024 at 11:00am. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery at a later date. A Celebration Of Life will take place immediately following the funeral service at the Smiths Falls Lion's Club. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Lung Cancer Canada, the Teddy Bear Program, or L.A.W.S would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Lannin Funeral Home.
