Obituary of James Ralph Evoy

James (Jim) Ralph Evoy April 10, 1949 - March 20, 2024 James (Jim Evoy), with his family by his side, and the peace and hope of Jesus in his heart, passed away at the Kingston General Hospital on March 20. Jim’s biggest message to continue sharing is this: Jesus loves and cares for you! “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2: 8-9). He will be dearly missed by Rose Evoy (George), wife of 49 years, Rebecca and John (Daughter and Son in Law) and the apple of his eye, his Grandson, William James. Always dearly missed by his brother in law, Allan George. Coming from a large extended family, Jim was predeceased by his Father and Mother (Joshua and Edna Evoy), Mother in Law Myra George, several brothers and his sister. Jim loved and appreciated all of his nieces and nephews. His last remaining brother, Doug Evoy, got to spend 2 very special weeks this March with him when they were steps away from each other in hospital. Jim loved all of his family and friends. Although Jim was blessed to be able to travel here and there with his family, he truly appreciated the simple things in life and the simple moments were his favourite. He regularly sought out where to enjoy a fresh piece of pie or a butter tart. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Lannin Funeral Home and a private service will be held at a later date. Jim left a special request to anyone who would like to share a tribute in his honour. This was to support a cause that he prayed for and loved, Christian education.
