Peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family on Monday, May 5, 2014 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Lena (nee Sonnenburg). Loving father to Joanne (Gerald Hunter). Cherished grandfather of Shannon (Robert Miller), Hugh (Arlene), Laurie (Todd Day) and Katie. sadly missed by his 7 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his brothers Fred Lay and Bob lay, and sisters-in-law June and Elinore. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Friends are invited to visit with the family at Lannin Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Thursday, May 8, 2014 6-8pm . A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 11 o'clock. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
