Veteran WWII 43 Years of Service with C.P. Railway as an Engineer. Peacefully at the Broadview Nursing Centre in his 84th year on October 26, 2009. Beloved husband of Helen (nee Marshall) for 60 years. Loving father of Judith (Clark) Lavender, Robert (Dawn) Miskelly, Sandra (Michael) Burson, and Lynn Miskelly. Cherished grandfather of Mark and Kelly O'Neill, Nicole Craig and Brenna Dybala. Dear great grandfather to Jacob and Collin Craig and Owen Dybala. Survived by his sisters Vera (Keith) Horner and Dorothy (Robert) Diguer. Predeceased by brother Don and sister Rita Milne. Also remembered fondly by many nieces and nephews. Bernard was an employee of the CPR for 43 years and spent his retirement years travelling, golfing and he loved working in his beautiful garden. Special thanks to the staff of Broadview Nursing Centre for the many years of care and comfort. Friends may call at the Lannin Funeral Home, Smiths Falls for visitation on Thursday October 29, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel at 11 AM on Friday October 30, 2009. Interment at Hillcrest Cemetery.
