I had the rare pleasure of working with Bill while I was the Superintendent at Rideau River Provincial Park. I will always remember him for his wry wit, his sense of humour, and the smile he greeted every new day and challenge with. I spoke with Bill on the day of his retirement--we had a pork chop BBQ because he said those were his favourite--and I remarked to him that we all valued and respected him as the salt of the earth. A wholesome, approachable, and depandable man who the park would miss when he retired, and now, who we will treasure and miss as a friend. Thanks, Bill.
