Dear Paul and Family, We were deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Jackie. It's hard to believe that she's gone. I will always remember playing outside your house on Gregg St. and swimming in the pool. Visits to Kelly's Road were always a treat as I remember looking forward to seeing all the animals that lived on your gorgeous farm. Our first beloved kitty, Taffy, came from your barn. I always got a kick out of the funny sayings Jackie came up with and how she made me laugh with all her stories. I appreciated how she spoke the truth no matter what! So sorry we couldn't be there to support all of you in your time of mourning. We were there in spirit and will continue to send positive thoughts and prayers your way in the coming difficult days ahead. We love you all! Love Stacy (Amacher),Kanja, Isaac, Aaron and Lilly Chen

Thursday, August 31, 2017
Dear Paul and all the family, Jackie has always been a star of Civic Class of '59 . She hosted a great party at one of our Reunions. She was such a talented gal. We were greeted that day with a life size doll dressed as a Civic student nurse beside the driveway. She had such strength through all her health battles and rarely admitted to being "down" although she must have been many times. She was blessed to have all her family behind her . My best memory of her was at a Reunion ..she was sitting on a bed in the hotel telling a story that had everyone howling with laughter. I count myself lucky to have known her for so many years. HUGS, Barb Duncan (Civic Class of '59)

Deeply saddened to hear of the death of this warm, wonderful, and welcoming saint of God. A beautiful lady with a mischievous twinkle and a great passion for the church in Smiths Falls and the community where she lived. She was a perfect blend of Mary & Martha. This passion reflected in her pride and joy for her family. Lunch at her table after church on Sunday is an everlasting memory of sheer pleasure. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints".

Jackie, I will never forget the day I was going door to door in our neighbourhood selling chocolate bars for my nursing class at Algonquin College. You bought what I had left because you were so excited I was going to be a nurse. I also have many memories with Paul. first at Rideau Public school, then SFDCI, and then the Reunion band.
