Entered into rest at the Smiths Falls Hospital with family by his side on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 in his 94th year. Beloved father of Gwen Myers (Arden) of Oakville, Maxine McCready (Bruce) of Lansdowne, Norene Kennedy of Toronto, Betty Giff (Bob Closs and the late Lorne Giff) of Perth, and Bev Gibson (the late Ray Gibson) of Kanata. Big Pop will be lovingly remembered by his 12 grandchildren the late Cathy-Ann, Brian (Cathy), Rob (Cyndi), Scott (Cheryl), Tracy (Rob), Ron (Noelle), Laurie (Harold), Janet (Steve), David (Laura), Carolyn (Bruce), Michael (Sandra) and Stephen (Adrianna) and 18 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Edna (Baldwin) Kennedy and companion Shirley Fleming. Friends may call at Lannin Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Friday January 21, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday January 22,2011 at 11 AM. Interment Wolford cemetery in the spring.
