The family of LUCY EMMA PENGELLY announce, with profound sadness, her passing in her 87th year, on February 12, 2011 at Perth Community Care Centre. She was predeceased in 1971 by her first husband Douglas McConnachie. She was also predeceased by her parents, Fred and Mary Lalonde; her sisters Nellie, Bertha, Grace, and Dolly; her brothers Steve, George, Don, Bud, and Joe; by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and by her stepdaughter Linda Miller (nee Pengelly). Lucy is survived by her husband Lloyd Pengelly; her loving children Peter McConnachie, Sandy McConnachie (Mary-Lynn) and Bonnie Pengelly (nee McConnachie); and her stepson/son-in-law Ron Pengelly; her much loved grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; her brother Allen Lalonde (Helen); brother-in-law Ross McConnachie (Shirley); sister-in-law Lily Evans (nee Pengelly); and daughters-in-law Ellen Way and Paula McConnachie; as well as many nieces and nephews. Lucy will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. Friends may call at Lannin Funeral Home, 32 Main St. E. Smiths Falls, Ontario for visitation on February 16, 2011 from 11am to 1pm. A service will be held in the Chapel at 1pm. Cremation will follow. Internment will be at Maple Vale Cemetery, at a later date. Donations in memory of Lucy to the Lanark Animal Welfare Society would be appreciated.
