After a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, it saddens us to announce that Allan Patrick Mackie has passed away with his wife by his side at the Smiths Falls Hospital on Wednesday June 8, 2011 at the age of 64. Life friend & Loving husband of Biddy (Bernetta McAvoy). Loving father of Steven Mackie and Alethea (Juan) Hermandez. Predeceased by his parents John and Mary Mackie, his father and mother-in-law Larry & Lee McAvoy and his niece baby Sara. Cherished brother of Bill (Linda) Mackie. Dear uncle of Allison (Rob) Ferguson; daughter Ella, Tara Lee (Steve) Ferguson; children Alexa, Cadence, Toveylyn and Silas. Brother-in-law of Nancy (Bill) Carroll and uncle of Janet (Dan) Dionne and Jo Jones; children Texan, Brick and Aria. Brother-in-law of Tom (Pam) Kierstead. Allan will be missed by his family members out West and greatly missed by his numerous fishing buddies, car buff guys & Gals, friends and best Buddy Axle. Friends may call at the Lannin Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Monday June 13, 2011 from 11 AM until service time in the chapel at 1 PM.
