Peacefully at Hilltop Manor, Merrickville on Wednesday September 21, 2011. Fern Beatrice Bowie (nee Crowder), age 82 years. Beloved mother of Lynda Collins (John Westerveld), Brenda Bowie-Little (Richard Little) and Brian Bowie (Beth Townsend). Cherished grandmother of 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and 1 step grandchild. Dear sister of Elizabeth Sutton (Donald Sutton) and sister-in-law of Maureen Crowder. Predeceased by her parents Herman & Mildred Crowder and by her brother Ellery Crowder. Fern will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. The Family wishes to thank the Staff at Hilltop Manor for their Sincere and Compassionate care for Fern over the last few years. As per Ferns wishes, cremation has taken place. A private Graveside Service will take place at a later Date. Donations in memory of Fern to the Ottawa General Cancer Clinic would be appreciated.
