Peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital on Monday October 24, 2011. Alex Banford, age 94 years. Beloved husband of Marie Banford. Loving father of Jean (Dale) Fawthrop, John (Norma) Banford and Wendy (late Herbert) Headrick. Cherished grandfather of Katherine, Kurt, Lara, Melissa, Cory, Kimberly, Collin. Great grandfather of Daphne, Adriane, Liam, Emma, Conner, Isaac and Ewan. Dear brother of Edmond (Marion) Banford and Raymond (late Faith) Banford. Predeceased by his brothers Charles and Claire, and his sister Marion. Alex will be missed by many close nieces, nephews and extended family. Friends may call at Lannin Funeral Home, Smiths Falls for visitation on Thursday October 27, 2011 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Friday October 28, 2011 at 11 AM. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery. Donations in memory of Alex to the Lions Club for the Blind or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
