Suddenly at his home in Los Angeles California on Feb.1,2009. Predeceased by his parents Russell J Midkiff and Helen Marguerite Shaver. Dewey had an accomplished and varied musical career having played drums with such greats as Roy Orbison,Patsy Cline,Farren Young, Everly Bros etc. Dewey was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (Cleveland Ohio) 1998 as a founding member of the legendary band Buffalo Springfield. Dewey will be greatly missed but never forgotten by his long time friend Madeline (Golter) Thomas of Arizona,U.S.A Roy and Linda Shaver and family (Wasaga Beach Ont.) Don and Sandra Macdiarmid (Cambridge Ont.) Bob and Bonnie Banville and family (Portland Ont.) Wayne Midkiff and family (Calgary Alb) Murray Midkiff and family (Chapleau Ont) Neil Midkiff and family (North Bay Ont.) Sara Hugh and family (Regina Sask.) Megan Smith and family (London England) Ric Awde and family (Brampton Ont) and Roberta Awde of Brampton Ont. For those wishing to join in a celebration of Dewey's life a service will be held on May 29 2009 at 11 AM at Trinity United Church Smiths Falls Ont. For those who wish, in remembrance contributions can be made to Blue Skies in the Community (A non profit organization dedicated to promoting musical talent and appreciation in the Kingston-Ottawa area).
