Faye, now that I am a parent of teenagers I appreciate more so the open home you and Dave showed me back in the 70's. Summer in Kanata and up to the lakes are great memories with you all. Open house awaiting any of you in NZ. Love Gary

Faye, Michael, Bruce and Blair - so sorry to read about the passing of your dad in the newspaper. I recognized his picture right away. Last month, I was going through photo albums and saw the photo of us all (as kids - so very young) on the hill at the side of our house on Condie Street. Take care and hold on to your memories.

Dad You have always welcomed me with open arms and there are so many fond memories, to vast to list, but that I will always cherish. Your personality and love has been passed onto your grandchildren, and your traits will be carried through them. Tyler with your humour, Brandon with your passion for sports, and Alex with your surname and the love you gave him without hesitation. You will be missed and loved always and forever.

Papa it still hasn't hit me that you have passed. It's going to be hard to imagine a house at Christmas without your loud Scottish howl throughout the hallways. I'm going to miss you so much, words can't explain, I know you wouldn't want us to dwell but to remember all the good times, and that we will. Papa Claw I Love You so much and always will. RIP

Papa Life goes by too fast, that's why when I was with you we made every moment last. The non stop chats about hockey were always a blast, when you broke your wrist I wanted to be the first to sign your cast. You wrote a poem every year, I will take it over and steer. But in my heart I know your still here. You were always in the crowd starting the cheer, I know heaven is treating you good, have they given you a beer? There are so many things to remember, you will always be my birthday buddy in November. You were more than a Grandpa, you were a bro. So Papa it's time to say good bye, and you will always have me saying GO SENS GO

To Faye, Michael, Blair, Bruce and all of the Hendry family. You have welcomed our family into your family unit as one of yours so your loss is ours too, so we are also feeling the pain of losing a loved one and we were hoping to have Dave in our lives for a lot longer that we did. We send much love and sympathy to you all. To Dave - thank you for allowing me to research your family history and get to know your homeland and your people, especially those that have gone before you. I know that you would appreciate it when I say that you were "A Highlander by the Grace of God" - "Gluais faicilleach le cupan làn - Go carefully, with a full cup" Pat & Don xx
