Peacefully at the Ottawa Heart Institute, Saturday, March 17th 2012. Edmund Hanes Banford, age 90 years. Beloved husband of Marion Banford (nee Safford). Loving father of Carole Cullen-Cote (Mike) of Toronto. Cherished grandfather of Darla Stuart (Doug), Justin Cullen, step granddaughter Adrienne Cote and step-grandson Jesse Cote. Great grandfather of Taylor, Chantale and Katrina. Dear brother-in-law to the late Hazel Gardiner and Leon Safford. Predeceased by brothers Alex, Charles, Ray and Clair Banford and sister Marion Locke. Ed will be missed my numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Friends may call at Lannin Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Tuesday,March 20th, 2012 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A Celebration of Life will take place in the chapel on Wednesday March 21st , 2012 at 11 AM. Donations in memory of Edmund to Trinity United Church or Smiths Falls Hospital would be appreciated.
