World War II Veteran - D-Day Boy Past President of the Smiths Falls Legion Branch 95 Past President of the Forget-Me-Not Seniors Club Served Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa and North Shore New Brunswick Regiments Peacefully at home on Saturday March 31, 2012. Bill Burt, age 90 years. Will be Dearly missed by his beloved wife Vera of 67 years. Loving father of Susan Frank (Garnet Drummond) of Smiths Falls and Margaret Carswell (Larry) of Turin, Alberta. Cherished grandfather of Christine Frank-Szarecka (Tomek) of Czestochowa Poland and Renata Frank of Atlanda Georgia. Great grandfather of Nolan and Matthew. Predeceased by all of his brother and sisters. Bill will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. As per Bill’s request, there will be no visitation and a Memorial Service will take place at a later date.
