Doris went to be with the Lord on April 14th, 2012. Born September 4th, 1921 on Scotch Line, Perth to the late Cecil and Jean Dodds. Doris Isobel Phillips (nee Dodds), peacefully in Ottawa in her 91st year. Beloved wife of 65 years to Milton Phillips. Sister of Edna( Doug) Van Meer, Helen (Art) Bowes, and the late Jim Dodds and Mildred Healey. Loved Mother of Susan (Dennis) Bjerstedt, Lee (Marsha) Phillips and Lynn (Bob) Barrett. Grandmother of 8, great grandmother of 8. Doris’ faith did not waver as she faced and accepted the challenges of lung cancer. She longed for her Heavenly home. Isaiah 43:1 “Fear not; for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.” Friends may call at Lannin Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 17th 2012 from 6-8 PM and Wednesday April 18th from 10-11 AM. Followed by a celebration of life in our chapel at 11 AM followed by interment at Hillcrest Cemetery. Friends may gather after in our reception center for a catered reception. Donations in memory of Doris to the Missionary Service Committee (MSC) or the Bridlewood Bible Chapel of Kanata would be gratefully accepted.
