After a brief battle with pancreatic cancer, peacefully at her home in Smiths Falls the 26th of April 2012 surrounded by those she loved - her daughters, son-in-laws, and a very dear friend. Wonderful loving mother, cherished aunt, and giving friend. Predeceased by her husband Ken Woolley. Loving daughter of the late Jean (nee McDougall) and W Kenneth Hughes. Predeceased by both her brother Wayne and sister Carole. She will be lovingly missed as both a mother and best friend by her daughters Christine (Jean-Guy Laflèche) and Laurie (Bruce Thoren) – forever with us through our symbol of three hearts. Sharing in this loss are her sister-in-law (Linda Hughes), nephews, nieces, friends, cousins and family. In keeping with Marjorie’s wishes, there will be no visitation prior to cremation. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Lannin Funeral Home Chapel on Monday April 30, 2012 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marjorie to the Cancer Society or the Lanark Animal Shelter would be appreciated.
