Judy our condolences to you and your family in the loss of Kenny. I had the pleasure of working with him on several occasions when he returned to Smiths Falls. Being a sports fan like Ken we had a lot in common and I fondly remember the Monday morning pick up hockey when he would strap on the pads for an hour of fun. Harry & Deborah Beckett.

I had the great privilege of meeting and working with Ken in the early to mid 1990s when he was in London. Its easy to say just nice things when writing a remembrance, but in Ken's case I couldn't find a negative thing to say if I did want to. Working with him was always enjoyable because he was a genuinely good natured man. I don't recall him being anything but upbeat and happy at work, despite so many reasons to be so. He could find humour in the worst of situations at work. In the late 1990s I was in management working from head office in Calgary. While on a project in Smiths Falls, Ken invited me out to his home outside of town. That's the type of guy he was. I offer my condolences to all of his family, in your loss. From my perspective as a railroader, I can tell you the railway community feels this loss too, because Ken was very well liked by anyone that ever had the opportunity to meet and work with him.

They had lots of good times together, and its hard to forget days gone by and the times we all had back then. So sorry to hear about Kenny, remember when you and the boys lived across the road from us. You had that big black dog and the big honking pool, and you had the new house built. Remember the summer Shannon was home for a visit with Ken and she and Kim hung out together. He will be sadly missed. You are all in my prayers. God Bless you.

My condolences to your family at this difficult time. Had not seen Kenny in over 40 years but certainly remember the many road hockey games on Sussex and Kent Street and the hours spent at Hyland Park playing ball. He was definitely the best road hockey goalie in our neighborhood.
