My dear friend, what a shock I had this morning, Nov.21st, when I heard on t.v. the waltz you wrote for me.Someone from the Fiddler's Association was playing "my waltz". What an honor that was, and as Karla said, it was a visit from Gerry....and I feel very special...Thanks Gerry, I miss you.

I was surprised to learn of Jerry's passing. He and my mother Sadie MacIntyre were first cousins and very close friends. He never came to Cape Breton without stopping in to Boisdale for a visit. My deepest sympathy to the family on your loss.He plays with the angels now. R.I.P. Jerry

The Jordan Family is so sorry to hear about the passing of Gerry. My Dad John Jordan could always count on Gerry to get the party started with his fabulous fiddling and natural enthusiasm. Gerry even honour my family by playing at my wedding in 1993. We have the video to remember his wonderful talent and the numerous times he played on Canada Day. Our condolences for your loss.

I never met anyone more passionate about the violin than Gerry. He was always the ultimate professional, and he so encouraged everyone who ever worked with him to be their very best. Above all else, he was extremely kind and unselfish. My condolences and prayers go out to his family.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I've know Gerry for a very long time he was a great musician and I had the opportunity to learn a lot from him while being in Ottawa Fiddle Ensemble when it first started in the early 90s. I also had the pleasure of being a dancer for Bobby Brown and the Cape Breton symphony. Gerry may be gone but will not be forgotten by those who appreciate what he did for the fiddle community. I hope that your fond memories comfort you at this time

I knew Gerry through my partner, Tony Lambert. Gerry gave Tony fiddle lessons during the 1990's and invited him to join the Fiddle Ensemble. I became a Fiddle Ensemble "groupie" and spent many hours listening to Gerry and the others play wonderful music. He was an inspired teacher and a great musician. Coincidentally, Gerry worked with my sister, Deborah Davis, when he was in the armed forcesd. My symphany goes out to his family for their loss.

I was fortunate to have Gerry as a violin teacher when I began to play the fiddle in my mid-thirties. He introduced me to the fiddle community, for which I am thankful. I also discovered at the time that during his military career, he was the secretary to my father-in-law, Bob Osside, CWO for the Forces. Bob spoke highly of him and shared fond memories. Gerry was a great friend and mentor. My sympathy to the family.

From Colonel D. L. Davis. I worked with Mr Pizzariello over a number of years, when I was an administration officer and he was the senior career manager for the administration clerks. He was unfailingly helpful, resourceful and patient -- a true professional and a credit to the trade. It was only tangentially that I learned of his music career, when attending the Ottawa Symphony one evening. My sympathy to his family. Deborah Davis.
