Peacefully at the Smiths Falls Hospital Gordon was called to be beside his wife in heaven on Friday May 18, 2012. Gordon Chetney, age 86 years. Predeceased by his beloved wife Shirley Chetney (nee Crobar). Loving father of Kimberley Chetney (Doug Elder & sons). Predeceased by his brother Alfred Chetney and sister Ethel Armstrong. Cherished uncle to Hugh & Diane Armstrong, David & Erna Armstrong, Gerald & Marilyn Armstrong and their families, Ronnie & Cheryl Chetney and Hank and Barb and their families. Friends may call at the Lannin Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Saturday May 26, 2012 from 9 AM until the Celebration of Life in the chapel at 11 AM. Interment Capital Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Gordon to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Friends may attend a reception to follow interment in Ottawa at the Royal Canadian Legion, Smiths Falls between 1:30 and 2:00 PM Saturday May 26th 2012.
